Flightless bird Found in Africa.

Range: Emu in common over most of mainland australia,although it avoids heavily populatedareas,dense forest and arid areas.can run upto 50 km.per hour for some distance at a time.emus are also able to swim;

Food: Feeds on variety of plants species & insects;

Lays: lays15 to 25 egges;

Incubation: Period 56 days.incubation & rasing of young is males'task.

Lesser Pied Hornbill

Found in Himalayas from haryana east to arunachal Pradesh & north east India, south to eastern Madhya Pradesh & the eastern  ghats.

Food : Fruits, small birds,reptiles,fish, termites etc.

Lay:  6 eggs.

Incubation Period is about6 -8 weeks.

Found in India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Myanmar.

Feed :. Food consists of fruits and berries ; also caterpillars & insects.

Lay: as much as 13 eggs.

Incubation Period: 12 - 14 days. 

Calls: The male Common Koel advertises its presence by a loud ascending whistle or 'koo-el', monotonously repeated; the call of the female is a repetitive 'keek-keek-keek-keek'. Males often call throughout the day and as well as in the night.
