Zoo Update
The 80th Independence Day was observed with great pride and patriotic spirit at the Zoological Garden, Alipore. The National Flag was unfurled by the Director in the presence of the Deputy Director and Assistant Director, followed by the singing of “Vande Mataram” by the zoo staff.
The premises were beautifully decorated with floral displays and a colourful floral rangoli. Staff members proudly wore tricolour badges, and sweets and candies were distributed among employees and children. A tree plantation programme and a free eye check-up camp for zoo employees, organised by ASG Eye Hospital Pvt. Ltd., were also held as part of the celebration.
