Honble Chief Minister
Smt. Mamata Bandyopadhyay inaugurated 5 projects of Alipore Zoo virtually on 12 March,2024. The projects are listed below.
The program was attended by Sri Aroop Biswas, HMIC , Smt Birbaha Hansda, HMOS, Forests, Smt Mala Roy, Honble MP, Kolkata South, Smt Deblina Biswas, Councillor & Chairman Borough IX, KMC, Sri Vivek Kumar, ACS,Forests, Sri Niraj Singhal, PCCF, HoFF and other senior officers and dignitaries.
HCM also inaugurated 2 projects of Harinalaya Mini Zoo and 5 projects of Sunderban Wild Animal Park, Jharkhali

The Zoo remains closed to the visitors on every Thursday . If any holiday falls on Thursday, the garden remain opens to the visitors on that day and the weekly closure is observed on the next available working day.
